How many subscribers?

I was just wondering about how many paying subscribers there are to the site. Not really worried about how many people sign up for the forum, just subscribers. Any guesses?

My guess - 1069

Was that a random guess or did you work that figure out from somewhere?

How comes you want to know anyways?

You’d think more people would use the forums if there were that many subscribers???

I dunno. Just starting some random topic. Im curious about peoples guesses though. I dont care at all TBH

Im thinking 2000 paying subscribers

One less than that because Roben is a cheap skate and didn’t pay his bills

PMSL

Talking of Roben.

Did anyone here actually win the kit he had for his competition a while back?

lol

Or was it another ingenious (scam) way of getting people to vote for his attempted Dj residency

Well someone won, it certainly wasn’t me or anyone I know that’s for sure :frowning:

I’m a subscriber and although I won the membership, I’ll renew next year as this is a very well put together site and the constant updates on the tutorials are worth the annual fee.

Ken_UF

I’m gonna say 1345.7

I’m new here. I haven’t subscribed, yet. I fully intend to, but I do find it strange the forums aren’t a hell-of-a-lot busier.

I think its because many of the subscribers are just here for the video tutorials and not here to take part in the forums.

I like that the forums aren’t manic/busy. You lot aren’t a bad bunch, and there is generally a good exchange of ideas with the right amount of banter.

You go over to somewhere like djforums.com and it’s all “fag” this and “you suck” that… :frowning:

I’d hope the mods would step in here and deal with that, should it happen. Yeah Howie, you’re probably right, but without wishing to appear patronising, the exchange of ideas is a massive part of learning.

Gotta agree, I love this forum. If it was like above then I definitely wouldn’t use it as i left that crap behind when i left school.

Besides it’s only pussys that abuse others on the internet, in the safe comfort of their home somewhere in the world without fear of repercussions.

YOU F*GS ARE THE SUCK!!

Just kidding

I agree, lot’s of stupid boards out there… I think SA have done a sterling job of moderating the boards so far. I think we’ve got a good enough base of people at the moment to not let it turn into an abuse fest… but as it gets bigger we’re going to get more of those types on board alas.

The only thing i’ve noticed is - and no offence to anyone cos i like you all - but there does seem to be this ‘more important because of high post count’ kinda vibe going on.

To be honest, i have a high post count but it means sh*t, it doesnt and shouldnt mean that i should have any more say what goes on with SA than say someone who has a handful of posts.

I know its easy to feel a bit of ‘eliteism’ or something, but in the end of the day it’s BS, we’re all here for the same reason.

I don’t want there to be, or anyone to feel there is… a S.A cliqué, because thats not what music and creativity is about.

One thing I find strange is there’s no distinction between non subscribers and subscribers here. Something I’ve addressed in another thread.

It would be reasonable to expect the mods here to implement a system that clearly shows the difference especially in the ‘how to’ polls.

I am not trying to be elitist either but there’s a whole load of flying users who ask for help and often get it but the real help imo should go to those who support the site.

How many subscribers? Maybe a better question would be “How many non subscribers” ?

and can the non subscribers manipulate the outcome of what effectively will be our next ‘htsl’ serving? or any thing else for that matter.

Hey guys… The post was meant to be fun/funny. No big deal was to be made of it. Lastly, there is no “who posts more” vibe going on. All the High Post comments I’m sure were all in good fun.

Yeah Howie, fair enough.

Having said that I still think its a good idea for there to be a distinction between user class.

I’ll give you another example.

Every now and again when time permits I like to listen and post a bit of feedback on a user track in the tunes, mixes and podcasts forum.

At present I have no idea if I am listening to someone who just stumbled upon this site and just wants to get their stuff out there using any means possible.

I’d like to give priority to full subscribers because well it just seems fairer.

Didn’t mean to hijack what was otherwise meant as a light hearted bit of banter but at least I am on topic to a point.

hehe and the bonus is I’ve just racked up another post count.

Supreme being here I come.!!! lol
