How to add effect in ableton?

please help, how do i and an effect to the whole mix in ableton?

i want to add a filter to the master channel but ensure how to do it. i want edit the automation in it own track so it effects everything.

im sure that this is very easy to do

just drag and drop any effects you want onto the master channel strip.

the master has its own automation lane/s.

that’s it really.

That’s what I thought but could not see the effect when dropped it in there, I’ll have a play with it tommorrow

for some reason, when i do this, something always gets effed up. If I really need to, ill just send some channels to another channel just for effects. Now with track grouping though, things are alot easier in that sense.
