i’ve been downloading some tunes from beatport lately and just wondered if anyone knew how to get the sleeve artwork for tracks you’ve just downloaded i’ve tried the usual “right click and save” stuff but all you get is a couple of options for adobe
i’ts no biggy if i have them or not its just something thats always nagged me about beatport…thanks in advance :D:D:D
i’m not sure where the art info is saved on the file but when i get tunes off beatport and put them in serato the artwork usually comes up that goes to the track
thanks for the help guys i only really want the artwork just to keep my music files neat and to make them stick out a bit as a record would when your flicking through your record box usually when you see a image you want on the net you can just right click and save as i was hoping you’d be able to do the same with beatport i dont use serato either tommy so thats a none starter for me cheers anyway…
the artwork is saved with in mp3 file, so it should show up in all soft that supports newish ID3 tags,
most of the tracks ive bought on beatport had the artwork

^^^^ this !!! the problem comes when people use something like mixed in key or anything that rewrites the Tags, sometimes you’ll loose the cue points and artwork
Why don’t you hit the print screen button and then paste into MSPaint?

jon i dont used “mixed in key” or any other software for mixing i’m just a bit anal about liking everything looking nice in my files as i would my record box
i just find it hard looking through hundreds of files on my computer which all look identical when i find it so easy flicking through my record box and recoginsing sleeves which helps my sets

i know what you mean
out of all my old records (a couple thousand) i can pull a random one and most of the time i can remember what the track sounds like, nowadays i cant remember any tunes even though serato has album artwork
maybe im just a old fart now

not at all, when it comes down to mixing with cdj or traktor i loose the urge to want to mix. since going on to digital i don’t think i’ve done a mix with out having to spend time sorting out the tracks i’m gonna play.
its funny but it seems all of us that started djing with records and now use computer, cdj, serato, dont know our music like we used to. I really like serato but think they need a interface upgrade. The artwork for your tracks should be bigger.
As a Graphic Designer I love Music artwork.
I use google image. Copy and paste the image
and put into iTunes - get info - Artwork.
Then the artwork will show up in Traktor.
Takes time but its worth it.
SIPMPLE= Copy and paste your tracks to itunes
