Can anyone give me some advice on how to get that eery high pitch sound you hear on about 80% of songs? like just before a breakdown, or to eliminate that silence you might get in a breakdown to help fill the sound

i know a synth does this, but can you tell me a good one? nearly every synth i have have sh1t loads of presets all tweaked etc, i just need a nice simple clean high pitch sound. would i assume go a load of octaves up too?

It’s a a high pitch string sound. Nexus has a nice one you can use - check out the funky house (Moto Blanco?) tutorial, Phil uses it in that.
