How to go about chopping up vocals?

hey guys wanted to know how do you go about chopping up vocals and making it sound like the intro of the video below? would it be slice to midi or something?

thanks in advanced

Just drag the sample into simpler and make it so that the length of the sample isnt too long. then just draw up some rhythmic patterns in the piano roll to taste.

thanks howie!

Sampler would probably be better, then you can assign different parts to different keys.

Sure, if you would like to do it to play out live and have different glitches on different keys. However, it seems as though that is not what he is after. It looks as if he just wants to create the glitch from the video, which simpler would do the trick just fine.

Another thing you might want to try doing. Take your sample and bring it into the arrange window. Then go in and manually chop it up.

You can also use the automation to automate the end time in simpler. that way, you can set different speed glitches. check out my tutorial at www.youtube.com/howiegroove

Enjoy bro and I hope this helps!
