How to install kick in fl studio

Just a little background I am new to fl studio and this is my first plugin install. I followed the instructions on the website, and placed the plugin under generators file in my image line folder. When I insert the plugin, and try to select the plugin. It says this plugin can not be found or opened, and then it asks if i have registered it. If anybody could help that would be great thank you, and I appreciate it.

If you want to install Kick into FL Studio’s internal directories, you would pick the FL Studio 11\Plugins\VST directory. You would not use the generator’s folder, as that is for Fruity plugins, and Kick is a VST based plugin. br

A simple fix is to move it from FL Studio 11\Plugins\Fruity\Generators to FL Studio 11\Plugins\VSTbr

I recently helped another FL Studio user get his ANA installed, but the process is the same for Kick, or any other VST. Follow this link for pictures and a description.br

  1. Install Kick to either FL Studio’s internal VST directory, or a custom VST directory (I personally use C:\Program Files (x86)\Vstplugins\ for 32bit and C:\Program Files\Vstplugins\ for 64bit, but you can use anything you want) I recommend using an external VST directory in case you want to use Kick with another DAW in the future.br

  2. Make sure FL Studio can see your VST directory in the FL Studio settings (under the File tab) if you used an external VST directory.br

  3. The plugin shows up in the “more” list when you go to add a channel once you’ve done it right, and can be accessed. Check the checkbox to add it to the list.br

The process is identical for all VSTs that FL Studio can open
