This week, we welcome back P-LASK for a new epic ‘How To Make’ course. This time, he’s checking out how to make Driving Tech House by breaking down and recreating the classic track ‘Musica’ by Meduza.
This track is simple in terms of the elements used; however, the magic lies in the evolving nature of those sounds through automation. After laying down the drums, we design each sound in ANA 2 before adding Macro Variations to capture the different iterations of each element, allowing us to trigger them throughout the track.
P-LASK runs through everything from start to finish, showing us how to design and process the sounds, set up the macros, arrange and automate before mixing the track and getting it to a level to play out. Included in the course are all the assets you’ll need, including the vocals so you can follow along in any DAW.

I was able to complete the entire track - including the automations - in Logic Pro. It took A LOT of work but learned so much about logics automation. FYI to anybody attempting in Logic Pro - ignore the automation numbers in his project and just match the where the knob is in ANA2 at the beginning/end points - it’ll save you a lot of frustration. Logics numbers won’t match - I think they scale it to 100. I actually like P-Lasks version better than the original. One of my favorite courses here so far.
