Returning to Sonic Academy for another monster course, Jupiter Ace serves up a brand new ‘How To Remix’ course. Having remixed the likes of Fatboy Slim, and Flo-Rida, Jupiter Ace, aka Gregory Ferguson knows what he is talking about when it come to remixing. Over the next 13 videos, Gregory shows us how to start with the vocal and how to get that all important hook going. Then we move onto programming the drums, bass and creating the main riff from a glock, and finally finishing with the arrangement and mastering. In the last video he show you a neat trick in creating your own custom Apple Loops.

Fantastic course! So many great little nuggets;) Already applying some tricks in my tracks and not even done with the lesson yet!
Awesome, we love hearing feedback like this. Glad you enjoyed
Love jupiter ace tutorial, another fantastic course! looking forward to next one :)
Is the audio file a different length than the original in Jupiter's project? In the first section working on the vocal I can't find a way to make the vocal line up on the 45 bar the way that he does.
Hi bhw73, yeah I have looked at this for you, in the video Greg states the vocal is 129, in the download its 125 - this is causing the confusion. set the temop to 125 and your should be locked! If you want to complete the track at 129, simply switch on the flex button, then the track flex button in the track header. Shown in pink in the pic below
Hi Chris
Thanks for your awesome tips and tutorial videos ! They are pretty fantastic ! Had a question ! I would love to produce my own music but unfortunately I don't have any music background such as playing instrument or even reading music notes and so on ! But I can create melody in my head and I would love to be able to produce it myself ! What is the best way to approach this dream of mine ? I have heard so many great feedback about Logic Pro and I have recently purchased one but I don't know wether I can ever do that with my background !! What would be your advice ? Do I have to learn an instrument ? Do I have to learn music from scratch ? I'm willing to do whatever it takes ! I do appreciate your time .
Regards
Fardin
