How To Make - How To Sound Like Delta Heavy / 1542

Great tutorial thanks.

just a question as i got a bit confused what you were doing on Tutorial 10 at 15:39 mins with adding two EQs onto the imager.

Why not use 1 EQ with a low Q setting but i’m probably missing the idea behind it.

Thanks in advance.

EQs are used as filters in this case.

The 2 EQs are placed in the same chain to act as a frequency splitter before the signal is sent to Ozone Imager. So instead of sending the all signal and all frequency bands for stereo spread with Imager, you’re sending the lower frequency range and the higher frequency range separately to Imager, giving you more control about how much of the low end & the top end you’re spreading into stereo based on a cross over point you can adjust ( thus the automation of both EQ High pass and low pass filter ).

Thanks for the reply, Very helpful in regards to the 2 EQ going to imager.

Excellent walking through the process!
The voice of the presenter versus music is way too low (12 dB) and I have to constantly adjust my monitor controller and that’s a pity coming from a audio production course…
