The 2 EQs are placed in the same chain to act as a frequency splitter before the signal is sent to Ozone Imager. So instead of sending the all signal and all frequency bands for stereo spread with Imager, you’re sending the lower frequency range and the higher frequency range separately to Imager, giving you more control about how much of the low end & the top end you’re spreading into stereo based on a cross over point you can adjust ( thus the automation of both EQ High pass and low pass filter ).
