How to make IDM

I thought it would be great to make a tutorial on IDM. The insane arrangements of different elements constantly flying between each other, replacing the last sound with a new completely different one. That would be sweat to see what sounds are used, and some sound design maybe? Anyway just an idea, hope youl check it out! :smiley:

I don’t really know what IDM is, I don’t think it is a term used over here in Blighty. Can you post some YouTube clips with examples? I am interested to know what it is.

Mensa require a person to be in the top 2% of the population to join… probably similar then to the snobbery of IDM? :slight_smile:

how he defines IDM (by style, genre or artist…) is up in the air though.



hopefully he will post up some examples for us.

I know what IDM stands for just what genre it is anymore - I could say I do IDM for what it’s worth

Seriously though I always thought IDM is Industrial Dance Music.
