I was here too, but no one noticed. :crying:
Awh Graham I noticed and my thanks went out to you to.
I just wanted to get inside of the heads of those I listen to in the tutorials. Its great to follow along but I have a few ‘why are you doing it like that?’ moments which really only you guys can answer - otherwise its a helpful summation by someone else.
thanks
Good advice on this thread, I too am learning the power of session view, just the other day I laid out a few loops in Session view, found something I thought I liked, starting laying out scenes and with the scenes flesh out a few variations and then “perform” the track. Ended up not liking it and toss out everything except the parts I did actually like. All it cost me was an hour or two of my time.
Still spending a lot of time on the basics but in future I want to look at means of optimizing my session view use by templatising my hardware in a kind of stock “genre based” ableton set which I can pull up to “live” arrange the track more quickly. Including my favorite sends and fx already setup.
Ultimately I want that process so smooth that I can go on stage with it and “perform” my tracks live to include more of a controllerism aspect, DJ’ing your own stuff can only go so far.
