How to make Reggae Sub Bass Sound

Hi Sonic Academy. I would really love a tutorial on making that 90s/2000’s deep heavy sub bass sound you hear in new roots reggae and UK dub tracks aimed at the dancehall like Ras Iyah “Get up stand up” and Danny Vibes “through the valley”, or Iration Steppas “warrior”.

This is a really common bass sound in reggae music. The start of the notes sound like they have the slightest pitch bend or LFO slightly wavering the note? but I could be completely wrong. Would love a tutorial on making great reggae synth basses. I am sure other influenced genres would benefit also

Thanks

Even though i listen to that style every once in awhile, im not a huge fan, but i must say, i think this is a GREAT idea! Really something different and new to learn. Its like the real Dub **** you used to hear on like dubstep.fm and stuff…before it got all simple dirty basslinie if you know what i mean…

Another really good example of the bass I am talking about which is really well known would be the bass in “Rumours” by Gregory Isaacs.

Any way I see I should include some youtube links so will get that happening soon
