I like that vintage analog wall of sound
It’s incredibly motivating to see how much you can achieve with so few elements. I mean, it’s a total of 7 instruments + drums + 3 automations + a reverb from hell like there’s no tomorrow = pure magic. I learned a ton for my own workflow.
As a point of criticism, I have to add that it’s sometimes difficult to follow the tutorial because Timecop is working with an ultra-old version of FL Studio here, and you only see the patterns as solid blocks without any visible MIDI information. If you’re working in a different DAW, this can be a bit problematic. I had to rewind a few times just to check what exactly was inside pattern 4 or 5. Also, it would have been nice if he had shown the mixing process as well.
But all in all, a highly successful and useful tutorial from a true master of his craft.
