How to make the fast sample changes musically?

Can someone have a quick listen here and I have noticed in this ZEDD song about the 1:50mark… Zedd - Stars Come Out (Original Mix) - YouTube

there are High tones that zip through and wondering how typically the producer

makes the tones rise real fast and short, up and down? Is that LFO work?



Question: the fast rapid sample changes with low and high synth combinations arranged to just run through smoothly as producer does in this song, how is this done? Sampler, Simpler? or other ways?

He has portamento on his synth and is using pitch bend as well

Well for me messing around with the LFO is way more effectiv than just messing around with the pitchbend.



But there was an interview of an well known house producer, who claimed just to go for the internal pitchbend tool in ableton.
