Hello to everyone!
I have a question esp. to Phil Johnston about his course “How To Remix in Ableton Live”.
What I also want to know about REMIXING is how I can take a song and cut all the sounds and vocal separately from each other??? This is my MAIN QUESTION here!
Dear Phil Johnston,
Pls, arrange a video tutorial about such skills!!!
LOOKING FORWARD TO YOUR REPLY BY RETURN ASAP!!!
Warm regards,
Alex
I heard this is possible with Audiosculpt on the mac. Though what you are asking is impossible without understanding sound physics and understanding advanced sound stuff. People get the stems(that’s what the parts are called) either from the artist himself / the label that owns the song or even a remix competition .
What you can do is single out unlayered sounds or filter elements out. You just cut bits from a song and filter them.
well, that’s what I am talking about! I think it could be pretty usefull and informative if Phil Johnston or anybody from SonicAcademy to at least make a tutorial about it and explain the main things about the sound physics as you say. And how to single out unlayered sounds or filter elements out from a song or how to cut bits from a song and filter them in the best possible way for those who cannot afford to get the stems from the artists or labels …
There simply isn’t any really effective ways of doing this. I did some tech tips not so long ago about isolating vocals etc.
Dear Phil Johnston
Could you pls tell the name of the Tech Tip you made about isolating vocals???
As far as I know there are 12 tech tips in the Training Videos and I didn’t find there anything about the isolating vocals …
Thanks in advance!
Phil! Sorry! I found your tech tips about the vocals!
