How to rewire fruity into ableton

Hey i have never rewired anything but i feel i want to use some stuff in fruity like some synths and their amazing step sequencer for making quick beats so could anyone help me out and tell me how to do this? I want all the stuff from fruity going into my ableton mixer so i can use THE ableton sidechaining etc. All help appreciated also how much of à CPU drain is THE rewire function?

Just going to bed now mate… so just a quick one for ya.

AFAIK - Its been a while - I think you:

Open Live

Open FL

Audio Channel.

Audio From - Dropdown menu… you should see FL listed.

Monitor IN

Hit play.

I got an even easier solution.

Open Live, Open FL, drag an EXTERNAL INSTRUMENT into a Live Midi Channel. Choose FL. Find out which channel its playing on. Usually 1 and 2. Thank me later.

How about rewiring FL with Cubase. I’ve had problems with that.

Lol mate switch out Cubase for Ableton or logic or even just Fruity. I worked with Cubase for years it does more harm then good. Lol i remember when the the new cubase Came out it was either 3 or 4 everyone remained to using Cubase Sx simply for one reason… Steinberg forgot to add the ability to use REX files in the new cubase. That included the ability to fully use vst’s like stylus RMX. I really hate steinberg lol i might burn my Steinberg certificate lol!

Sorry you dislike Cubase so much, but I really find it useful. I have FL and don’t really like it that much. I just like it to create loops sometimes, but since I have it I would like to rewire it to Cubase. I followed the directions but Cubase still doesn’t see it. Ableton is next on my list, but only to arrange my songs. All final mixdowns will be through Cubase.

Now can you or can’t you help me with rewiring FL (an aweful answer saying to buy a new product will not fly):stuck_out_tongue:

well dude, i dont know if you can. ive never tried or have heard of anyone trying. However, an alternative solution would be to make your 4 bar or whatever loop in FL and get it sounding good and then bounce the wave file and then drag it into Cubase. Try that.

On a side note, you will be hating life unless you have a super fast computer and you are gonna be running two programs via ReWire all the time. I would personally just do the bouncing to audio thing.
