How to sound like....Community Funk by Burufunk

Wassup guys!

I would really aprecciate if you guys would consider a video on how to create a similar bassline used in the track Burufunk & Carbon Community - Community Funk (deadmau5 Rmx)

Its one heck of a bassline that I always wondered how to do it similar since it came out in 2007

Well, just an opinion, by the way i loved the vids from Discount Rhinos amazing stuff!

Thanks…

Ill second this

I 3rd this!

I would like to know how to make the “beep” sound that’s in this track. Not only that, its becoming very popular in 2009/2009 tracks.

Can someone just guide me in the right direction?

there are a couple “b[l]eeps” in the track… the bass line bleep or the one that plays off of it. either way, both are very good friends with a couple of blokes named compression and distortion. not sure if mau5 was using cubase in 07 (i think he was) but if he was… it sounds like quadrafuzz [cubase only - allows you to distort based on eq | filter - one of the best distortions i’ve ever heard | used] along with a compressor smashing it to the front. other than the synth notes, it sounds like he just cut up, filtered, and processed some of the original samples and arranged them into a hooky bit.

BUT… don’t get hung up on the sounds because they aren’t all that impressive or hard [well… except the cut up filtered bit…i love that shit]… the magic about the song is the groove. the bass hitting on the 1 with the preceding 2 1/8 note bleeps that introduce every kick is what makes the song so infectiously driving, chuggy, and head nodding. the anticipation leading to the payoff - kick | bass… and in dance music… the kick | bass is always the payoff.
