Bitwig 5 Beginner Level 2

View Course

Over the next 11 videos, we welcome back Protoculture, as he follows on from where he left off in the Bitwig 5 Level 1 Course and continues the journey. If you are a complete beginner or have recently changed your DAW, this course has something for everyone.

With loads of useful knowledge for producers starting out, we begin by looking at the different methods to sidechain, cross referencing our elements, and options for send effects before adding some new layers and looking at some mixing techniques. We also look at some sound design by creating a riser, processing effects and adding our own unique atmospheric background before finalising and mastering our project so it can be played out.

You will be armed with all the knowledge at the end of this course to start on your production journey, so go forth and create!

there’s really amazing mixing here - the energy of the subs is just unlike anything else i’ve ever heard here at SA - cannot wait to deep dive into this one!! starting NOW

ok subject to me finishing all the tut’s here - great work Nate!

Some good tips/tricks in there. Had hoped to see more of the grid maybe, but that could probably be a whole course in itself.

Welcome aboard on the forums and thanks for your comment ! :sunglasses:

Having a lot of fun with the sampler and that granular stuff - it could do with grain shape controls and a few other enhancements, but it’s a lot of fun and certainly is usable.

The Level 1 + 2 training is incredibly good and full of great information for all levels, beginners to advanced users of Bitwig. Thanks for putting this together. I often shy away from using the native Bitwig tools, but this training inspired me to use them more often.

As an intermediate in Bitwig, I watched both Beginners series and got some interesting pointers all along. Was worth my time for sure. Really like the last tip on checking against the reference track. This is way faster than setting up A-B

really nicely done, Nate. I’ve learned a ton watching you walk through the entire process within Bitwig and it’s native devices. Thanks so much.
