i love massive
I have Massive and I will say that I use it for the presets only. I dislike the user interface of most of the Native Instruments stuff. But there are alot of good videos on YouTube that will help you grasp the concepts of Massive.
i’ve just recently started using massive and i’ve gotta say, first impressions of this synth are not its selling point.
however once you get used to this synth its very easy to find your way round everything is drag and drop, almost like an invisible patching wire. this synth really isnt as scary to use as it first looks.
it does look scary like
I agree with Jon, it’s a bit weird when you first look at it. Lots of nob twiddling that doesnt seem to do much. Also it bugged me that it had a weird list of wave forms, and not the normal ones.
That was till I realised that when is says siun-square that means you can have either opure sine or pure square, or a mix of the two depending on the position of the wave table knob next to it, also meaning that this was something that could then be modulated.
Also once you get the hang of how you route things in Massive you’ll soon realise how powerful this synth can really be!

Interesting i feel exactly same with NI these days, stuff becoming more and more of a science degree to make a decent track :hehe:
