I recently bought a novation launchpad and was surprised to not see a tutorial on this already. I know a lot of it is trial and error but if you guys ever find the time, a tutorial on how to use the launchpad efficiently would really be a big help, thanks :D.
What dio you want to do with it - I started djing with an APC40 - but needed a little bit of setting up
May get a launchpad as well - one can not have enough buttons with lights

i am going to dj live with it, producing with a pad seems a bit backwards to me. I was just messing around with the launchpad and its sick, just made an awesome tune, and it actually gives me a reason to use loops, because in productions i absolutely HATE using other people’s loops, but in DJ’ing its alright
either way I am sure there are other cool things I can do with it that i am missing, not from a functionality pov but more from a creative pov
Use your own loops that what i am doing

Then I think you have answered your own request - find samples you like and jam - not sure how a tutorial could show you how to do that as it is more a matter of practice and developing an ear for it

you can say that about all music in general which undermines the point of having this site…but ok

Well not realy - as finding loops, triggering them with Launchpad and jaming is not really a skill that can be taught in a set of videos - I would not think
But French House ain’t my bag so I stop now
well i kinda like launchpad, it would fit great with my apc 40.
anyone know any good tutorial vids on launchpad?
Mostly im lookin for like triggering notes from vst on launchpad

as far as french house stuff goes (I'm assuming you've seen Madeon's video...) ... its really about taking a ton of time and finding the right samples and organizing them into a pattern that makes sense for you. its not easy, but its not that hard either. just takes a lot of time.

Well when it comes to Launching clips i do it from APC 40 or sometimes with a IPAD (not in clubs thu)
but i have hard times find a way to trigger notes from apc 40 so launchpad can be a perfect for me.
