I had a look at their site, thought it was complete sh!t to be honest… did I miss something?
well hes just starting really.
there is a big vote goin on right now, where there is a big list of trance producers and the subscribers are all voting on who they want him to make a tutorial on.
only accessible to the subscribers!!
hes then gonna make a full in depth htsl on which ever artist won the poll come 1st december and hes gonna do this EVERY month.
a new voting poll for the next tutorial at the end of every month!!!

BIG IF, I didnt hang around the site long, look hard to navigate around and the tuts I seen sounded very Amateur and basic…
Maybe I was to quick to dismiss??
Yeah the trance music mastery site is a bit basic but hey its all free for the time being. But the videos i think are of very high quality as is the equipment and what interests me is that he claims he is going to show you how to make a PROFFESIONAL sounding trance track from start to finish. He also says he is going to show you how to mixdown and master and its in a style of whichever producer has won the vote the month before! Also the first month is free!!! Ive checked over his tutorials too and i didnt think they were **** at all i really thought he covered some
cool aspects that were new to me. Also all the forms of trance education out freely available is sooooooo old and rehashed so it will be nice to hear Scotts take on ‘modern proffesional’ trance. He also seems to know what hes talking about music theory wise.
just went back and signed up, watched his intro vid, looks interesting I must say so will re vist when I have more time.
Anyways… back on subject.
SA it’s time for a new trance tutorial, we’ve had house, we’ve had minimal, we’ve had everything else, it’s now trances turn.
Also could one of the mods be nice enough to combine all the topics in here asking for trance. Be nice to just have one thread to post in and it would be interesting to see the views and pages it adds up to. Is this combining of threads even possible lol?
Very curious to see what this Trance Music Mastery thing is all about. He claims to know a lot of things about Trance production. Although his “about” page didn’t say anything about the professional tracks he’s produced… if he has at all.
I do think he knows a what he’s talking about though. Who would claim to know that much and have that kind of set up only to know nothing at all!! And If the site is Whack!! I’ll just drop it and just keep harassing SA to make another Trance tut. hehe!!

i wouldn’t hold your breath the last trance tutorial from sonic academy was over 2
years ago. countless begging threads have come and gone in that time.
this place seems to concentrate on house and techno and does it very well but the constructs are far easier than trance.
as for scott yes he knows what he’s talking about he also has a passion for trance which helps.

but making your own tracks and knowing how others make theirs tracks by listening to them are two different things

i’ve just asked him to change one of my votes to sean tyas coz i dont want armin to win!!!
the guy is the best DJ and the best character on the decks by a mile, but there are so many better producers on that list isnt there!!!

had a better look at this today, sounds good alright… is their a forum or something where you all voting?? cant seem to find it??
that website is expensive. $15 a month? for JUST trance tips? i dunno…
hope you guys can provide some insight into if its worth it or not.
