Aside from the vocals, all the elements in this track are pretty basic, which I figure is the key to it’s success, but the bassline what keeps me coming back! I’ve had this track on repeat essentially for the last week. It’s probably one of the nicest productions I’ve heard over the last 12 months.
So obviously they’ve done the vocals themselves… or maybe I don’t recognise that sample… The drums/rhythm element is pretty basic, and so is the pad… but how do they do that BASS?? It’s hypnotic, I don’t even know the chord progression, but it seems to be the portomento (not even sure if there is glide there cuz it’s so smooth) that really hooks you in, and the fact it’s a sustained note and doesn’t muddle up the rest of the track? Would defo love a tut on this.
