Ok so coming over from the technoheads thread i thought i might as well start this and hope and pray that we get as much support in here as those guys got! We are here to fight the corner of trance music in all its glory! It doesnt matter what you are into post up some clips of the trance you want to see and lets get the ball rolling! As we speak there is a trance tutorial in the works by Chris Agnelli, for some reason its been put on hold.
No one knows why but mabey we can be more specific in the typa trance we want to see and if you look at ICN’s thread because of the great support SA are be going to release a deep house and tech house minimal tutorial very soon!
Also remember the guys that work for SA you have Phil Johnston, co producer of cost 2 coast tracks and Chris Agnelli, possibly one of the biggest producers in the entire trance genre! So its not a club of fools trying something they have no idea about, this is possibly the elite, the cream of the crop… in a certain type of trance anyways. But fear not this is the place to get your voice heard and fight the corner of your favourite type of trance. Just post the youtube clip in here of the sound you want to see in an SA tutorial and mabey we could also share some tips and tricks. Let me ask the first question, a simple one to get the ball rollin, how do you guys make your SUPER SAWS?
Here are some clips of what i would love to see explained
First of all - I’d like to say that it was 100% 50/50 with Slender ( :hehe: )
And!!! I am shocked. This must be Jans 1st post on this Site with ****ing Paragraphs!?!?! WTF!?!!?!
LOL
Not trying to tell ye what to do, but Y’all should probably agree to start organising the links & everything from the get go. It’ll make everyones life easier in the long run if everyone does it in the same way.
Name - Title - Year (Vids get taken down all the time. If you dont know what they are, the track is gone forever - as I found out when compiling our list. You’ll also get double posts if they’re not embedded)
Then either Embed the link from YT or do a URL Wrap around the address. People are more inclined to follow a link that way.
Yes a nice proggy trancer from Armin you should check out his new album it has a few nice tracks on it. Also don’t be afraid to put up classics but I still think most people including myself want the modern trance sound as it’s a hell of alot different then it was in good ole’ ‘99’. Anyone here experience the trance phenomenan that was the year 1999?

I always wondered how he got that cool russsian vibe into it lol. Also im not just here to big up the SA tutors so i thought a bit of self promotion lol. For the smart allecks just cos i had some trance releases i still want to learn as much as i can and i actually joined SA for the other styles and to get better at them but i recently got the trance bug again. Also i would gladly pay money to learn from Chris Agnelli lol.
Embedding is where you stick the YT Vid in your post. You can get the embed code off YT underneath the duration slider.
BTW… I’ve never been able to embed in Safari - only Firefox or IE.
There seems to be a few ways of doing it - this works for me:
ICN (08/08/2010)
Write your Text.
Go in to the little tab where it says HTML at the bottom of the txt screen. Its above post reply & Spell Check.
Hit it.
You then see this:
<P>Write your Text. <P>Go in to the little tab where it says HTML at the bottom of the txt screen. Its above post reply & Spell Check. <P>Hit it. <P>You then see this:</P>X
The Red X is exactly where you should put your cusor.
Paste the Embed code right there.
Hit Design (beside HTML) & you’ll be back in your Message & should see the Vid.
Thats the only way I can do it anyway. Dont have the HTML option in Safari at all. Only get the HTML button on IE & Firefox.
Thnx for that ICN when I get home later I will sort it all out and tidy everything up. But I urge everyone that posts suggestions to follow ICNs post and embed everything just for ease of use. But so far not many responses with many suggestions lol is Trance dead? Or are we trance heads just a lazy bunch lol.
So the topic is all tidyed up now lol looks alot nicer and is more user friendly just wish more friendly users would contribute some ideas and suggestions
Here some of the very early Discover trance, before John o’Callaghan made Big Sky he was already knocking on the door with this one Also the track that made Sean.[p][/p] <EMBED src=John O'Callaghan & Bryan Kearney - Exactly - YouTube width=480 height=385 type=application/x-shockwave-flash allowscriptaccess=“always” allowfullscreen=“true”> [p][/p]<EMBED src=- YouTube width=480 height=385 type=application/x-shockwave-flash allowscriptaccess=“always” allowfullscreen=“true”> [p][/p]<EMBED src=Thomas Datt - 2v2 Rework (Sean Tyas Mix) - YouTube width=480 height=385 type=application/x-shockwave-flash allowscriptaccess=“always” allowfullscreen=“true”>
Ummet Ozcan really is an awesome producer he is just awesome with melodies and catchy hooks. For anyone interested check out Ummets Virus TI soundset and his SYLENTH1 SOUNDSET! Both are awesome, also if you want a freebie, Ummet made his own synth with his own patches and its free, its the Computer Music Genesis.
for the trance tutorial, why don’t you show us how you did the Big Sky remix step by step and break it down completley?? it would save you time makin a new track…
and yeh, bitta bryan kearney! as he lives in the estate beside me in Leixlip yewww haha
