I need a good reverb

right im now lookin to spend some good money on a quality reverb!

whats the options??

and what do you guys reccommend??

i’ve heard sonnox and lexicon are the boys!!!

LAConvolver is good and its free. that uses impulse responses and has a more of a realistic reverb. Other then that, the Ableton Reverb is perfectly fine man. It is super versatile.

this link might give you some better insight…

Redline Reverb for 112dB got a rave review in Computer music: http://www.112db.com/redline/reverb/I tried the demo and liked it, just not for $150.

I use the epicVerb in the bootsie plugin pack which is free, I prefer it to the Ableton one: http://rekkerd.org/bootsy-plug-ins/

Is LA Convolver just for Macs?

i think it is just for macs

ive got the revolverb for pc but i dont know how to get the impulses?

I think so, but not too sure.

I have heard the Lexicon and sound Amazing . that is one Reverb i would buy if i would have money . but it is just too expensive . almost 1k i think

you could for example make your own impulses… say you had a 7 day demo license for the lexicon reverbs you could in theory make a bunch of IRs based on them. or so ive been told etc. wink wink.

they dont sound just as good but work well in the mix. apparently

man!!!

i would love to learn how to create your own impulses but i will work on it .thanks for the Tip Phill

I make them all the time its pretty easy… dose require a bit of tweeking to get them sounding right tho.

we are doing an indepth reverb course after the in depth compressor course ill do a vid on how its done.

awesome Phill ! cant wait for it

Hey George,

If you google impulse responses you will get plenty of links to download some pretty good ones.

I got some from here recently that were pretty good. I like to look for gear oriented ir’s like different Lexicon models.

nice 1 phil !!!

lets say i did get the lexicon or sonnox reverb …

it would be a good buy wouldnt it??

oh and what wud ya reccommend phil.

regardless of price! not that ive got the money straight away!!!

for trance and tech trance ( if genre even makes a difference )

The Lexicon looks great but £1000 quid is way too pricey

I have had a play with the new lexicon vst’s and also the Sonnox and found them hard to use/understand. The waves reverbs seem alot easier to understand and navigate. If you were spend over a £1000 on lexicon I believe a better by would be to get the waves gold/platinum pack at a similar price.

tbh i dont know what to make of the Lexicon PCM bundle… they dont really sound like the hardware to my ears. I had an MPX 500 and it was super lush and beautiful sounding… i just didnt find the plugins as good.

dont get me wrong they still sound great. the early refelections sound a bit weird to me but the tails are certainly lush.

the sonnox stuff is great for big trancey vocals but didnt like the short reverbs.

We will def be doing an in depth series soon.

I just found this one, syan tyas uses it alot, I’ve yet to try but good reviews http://www.artsacoustic.com/artsacoustic_reverb.html

ArtsAcoustic Reverb

oh the famous Lexicon ! i would really like to hear the Hardware VS the software version. in all the reviews i been reading they say it is sound exactly the same as hardware .

hear it to believe it
