I need some guidance about purchasing my first third party plugins

-----------------------------------------

First off get ANA instead of Sylenth. the 1.5 beta is due any day now and kicks Sylenth in the face. Its laid out pretty similar so you can follow the tutorials that still use sylenth.

Instead of Aether try valhallaroom

Sounds as good IMO.

you could get both those for around £60

or you could hold of as we have a really nice cheap reverb in the works.

Melodyne is great if you do lots of vocals… the assistant version has the modulation and slide tools that are sorely lacking from the essentials version.

Ahh Cool… so you wont really need sylenth then.

are there any types of sounds you are finding you are missing?

Also Keep a bit spare for Ultimate drums… totally awesome drum packs for around £10 each. coming any day now.

---------------------

/yeah theoretically you could use melodyne to find the pitch of things but you could use something simple like Gtune or Mtuner

Then when you find the pitch you can change it in ableton.

awesome!

[quote]Rob… (13/12/2012)[hr]Also I will be upgrading to Ableton Suite 9 in the first quarter of next year and I am concerned that the 2C Audio Aether Reverb would not be necessary because of the pro convolution reverb that comes with Ableton Suite 9.

i wouldn’t get to exited about the convolution reverb in max live. i heard it is still no match to a nice reverb plugin like aether. i have aether and it’s kind of cpu hog in my opinion but just put it on return tracks and you should just fine.

top notch reverb for the money.
