I would like to know

Will you be making some videos on creating “uplifting trance” ? I have been writing producing for awhile now but need to learn stronger work ethics when writing trance music ( Uplifting ) Or Deep Progressive trance with guitars .

When playing my trance tunes the music sounds like it wraps around my head - not that I can not make my tunes wrap around since I understand the logic behind sound placement panning and so on there is just something I am missing and its pissing me off .

There is a new progressive trance one from Chris Agnelli coming soon… the track sounds wicked! should be a belter

Baselines - like uplifting baselines I watched some YouTube videos as I follow along it sounds odd almost to fast or when I play the high notes the bass becomes thin while inverted becomes to low lol . So I end up with the bass on C Cord since it sounds best without change up or down on the minor scale . I have used Nexus basses they seem well rounded but can be a pain in the *** to work with . making the bass slide around the kick is pissing me off ! I use Sidechain compression for the lowend still no go .

do you have some bass notes where the kick is hitting. try taking those out if you do. not sure what you mean by an uplifting bass line. do mean a rolling bass line? these defiantly have that driving feeling in trance. my favorite!!

yes i am a subscriber and not sure if you know this but they have some VERY good trance tutorials on here already. The last one one was by Chris Agnelli. And Phil put out the peak time trance tutorial which some consider the best tutorial.

finishing up a trancer right now. not sure if i want to post it yet cause my studio needs a lot of room treatment(just moved in) and the mix isn’t as tight as i want it.

I will make a fast kick and baseline to show you what I mean .

how’s your music theory? if your wanting to produce awesome trance you must start with this. you don’t want to just start banging out random notes on your keyboard :w00t:

so check out the g. ginty entry level music theory vids

if you really are just starting out go to the beginner browser and staring looking for the ones you feel you need a little work in. the trance tutorials would be a little advanced if your just starting out but check it out any way.

turns out after thinking about it its my way of building a track or building tight leads that are simple and arps that groove with the lead I can improve .

While you wait for the tut you might want to work on your forum posting skills
