Im shocked

i just found out who Thomas Bangalter’s (daft punk, for the uninformed) father is… :expressionless:

Daniel Vangarde… the huge french producer from the 70’s 80’s… he wrote and produced “D.I.S.C.O.” by Ottawan… and “Cuba” by the gibson brothers…

now wheres that thread about people having friends and family in high places… hmmm haha. dont worry i love Daft Punk… kinda all “makes sense” now though…  how advanced at such a young age they were… playing in daddys studio didnt hurt did it!  lol

so much for the struggling “poor years” using only cheap hadware cos they couldnt afford the good stuff… lol

yeah, i see your point, but they have made some of the most memorable songs in dance music imo. wonder if things would of been different without the convenient family situation

Thomas Bangalter’s= Disco King

yes i think things would have been very different. in their production/musical progress and business connections. but… i love them. and the things is, his father may have been a great producer and made some great disco tracks and helped them in many ways… but then i see i photo of DP on stage in the robot gear and think… WOW  ! haha tooooo good! they used the influence well!

btw is there a new album soon or what?? i know theyre doing the music for the new movie Tron Legacy, which is definitely going to make me go see the movie, no matter what the films like! :w00t:

Im not to shocked what would you do for a career if you had a dad like that, get a job stacking shelf’s in tesco
