IMO a casualty of the loudness war

heard this track last week and bought it last night… thought my headphones were busted… but no… it sounded just as distorted and over the top on my monitors too… te dudes just used far too much limiting imo…

the yt sound is abit pony, try hearing it at a better quality if you can

mmm, i was pretty distracted by the singer  fit

You know what, I know what you mean about the loudness thing but I get a lot of tracks from Bimbo Jones and I’ve never noticed issues with their previous tracks and remixes, maybe it’s just this one. Sounds like the vocals are fine but everything else seems really squashed to a point where there is little/no dynamics.

BTW Bimbo Jones is a collective of 3 people… Lee Dagger & Marc JB who are the studio partners and Katherine Ellis is singer/songwriter.

didnt know that about ms ellis being involved. now shes a singer… woah… too good. :w00t:

ye i agree about the vocals. the track sounds really squashed and distorted (not in a good way), but the vox sounds quite clean.

it sounds very daft punk discovery era, especially voyager.

at the same time as the Natalia track and the intro’s blended so well i didn’t notice till I clicked on another tab.

This was in FM mag apparently its the loudest track (i don’t know) but i do know that listening to it on a stereo more that than a few times can become very fatiguing.

Gabba can become very fatiguing too though to be honest, think it’s all that extremely fast beats and noise?
