If you drop an impulse on to a drum rack pad, can you then trigger up to 8 samples simultaneously?
It only triggers the first sample
I know i could just layer the samples with in drum rack, but was wondering if this was possible?
Thank you
I doubt it. Why would you want to do that anyway? Everything you could possibly want to accomplish in impulse, you can accomplish ten fold in drum racks. Ill help if you need it.
Are you building the biggest drum machine on the planet?
yeah you can do it, go to your drum rack and click on the ‘Show/Hide Chain List’ than click on the ‘I-O’ icon below.
In the chain list on the right hand side you should see the name of your impulse device, right click it and duplicate.
Leave the ‘Receive’ section as it is is and in ‘Play’ select the note that corresponds to the Impulse pad you want to trigger, (2nd one is D3)
You should have two pads playing now, duplicate…select E3 for ‘Play’ and so on…
Have fun!
thank you very much sean will give that a go!
no worries mate btw you can also drop instruments straight to your chain and add them to the pad as well
