Hi

I’m sure I was watching a tutorial where the Impulse drum machine was used and then the individual drums hits where separated to apply some reverb on the hats etc.

Can anyone point me in the right direction so I can find the tutorial again?

It’s very simple :


  • Create a midi track with an Impulse and assign your samples.
  • Create an audio track.
  • If the I-O section is not displayed on your tracks, press “CTRL-ALT-I”.
  • Select the Impulse midi track in the “Audio From” section of the audio track.
  • Select one of the eight input channels in the field below.
  • Select the “In” option in the “Monitor” section below.



    Job done. You have redirected a channel of your Impulse to an audio track. You can do the same to create 8 audio tracks and redirect every impulse channel to them. And, of course, you can assign audio effects on these audio tracks. :wink:
