In Need a Vocal Sample

Hey

I’m a having my first live set with my friend in a few weeks and to make it professional I thought it would be a good idea to have some sort of voice stating who we are. I was wondering if anyone with a mic & a sexy voice could send me something :)?

I don’t want to be too specific on what to say as if you’re already going to go out of your way to this it wouldn’t be right to dictate the process xD.

We’re Dirty Sky Symphony though I guess that would be important to state

We’d be playing hard dance, if that’s important ? haha :L I’ll shut up

Thanks in advance, I’m aware it’s a lot to ask.

Why don’t you try vocoding the t!ts out of your own voice.

Yeah good tip. Could even try pitching your voice up or down or even adding a tube to it.

Good advice

Don’t have a mic though /=

I’ll just buy one or get a lend though and do that (:

If you are going to mash up the vocals anyway you can use a speaker as a microphone!

Get a PC speaker and plug it into the mic input in your audio interface, hit record and speak into the speaker cone. Obviously you are not going to get a very high quality result, but it works and can give an interesting result.

Or you could use this: http://unaesthetic.net/st/index.shtml which will say anything you type into it.

^^^ That, or if your phone has a voice recording thing, just record into that and transfer the sample via memory card.

Mac OSX and Windows both have text to speech engines too, so you could generate a roboty voice with that, and then mangle that further in your DAW

Doesn’t work on Windows 7 64bit

The link or the speaker as microphone?

Phone idea sounds good

put your headphone jack into a microphone jack (1/8" of course) and speak into the headphones. VIOLA! Low Fi microphone!

Add a bit of Autotune and you will be Cher in no time!
