Anyone know any decent vocal effects? I’m just wrapping up a track, and I’ve got a couple of ‘vocal drops’, and I usually am not happy until I’ve messed around with them until I get some cool sonic distortions going on… only problem is I don’t really know what I’m doing, and tend to mess around with them for hours!
Here’s a great example of what I’m talking about. It seems to be a type of panning, without losing the center… But it sounds immense in a club, especially on the monitors.
Unfortunately no youtube link.

use a simple delay… turn sync off and set the left to like 10ms and the right to 20ms… gives you a nice stereo spread… you can use the dry/wet control to adjust how much of the width you want.
like the sound of that track Adam.
and thanks for the tech tip Phil ![]()
Nice! That worked nicely. It wasn’t quite extreme enough for the ‘vocal drop’ I’m working on, so I found if I upped the right channel delay a bit more (to 50ms) I got a nice wider delayed a effect. With a touch of subtle panning and some chorus I got something really ear catching.
Cheers Phil!
