Isolating snare/clap?

Is it possible to filter out a snare drum/clap from a typical houseloop? Like in the Tech tips example.

Usually the kick and snare hit on the 2 and the 4, which I imagine would make it difficult.

Isolating Kick Drums

Any ideas?

it would be very difficult, and you probs loose a lot of the sound because of the similarity in freq range they both share

just filter out he low end… you might still get bits of attack from the kick n stuff but should still be useable.

You could do this. However, you know that a snare hits on the 2 and the 4 right? So just replace the 2 and 4 kick hit with a 1 or 3 kick hit.

Gotta love non destructive editing in Ableton!
