Besides having great synergy with the kick I’m curious what goes into a bassline like this. Is it just a single patch? I seem to have absolutely terrible luck with layering basslines when the patterns are the same.
The filter envelope seems pretty straightforward to me, medium - short decay I think? Sounds like there is a pulse oscillator in there. It almost sounds kind of FM-y to me (basically any bassline that mystifies me I seem to write off as FM now… really should get into doing some FM stuff).
