New track I finished last night, tried to take on board some of the advice given in the mastering question. Kick filters into a heavier bass in several parts, mainly after the leads during pads and for the outro. Found it hard to make the kick punchy without the bass distorting when the filter comes on so still not sure about it. Used 3 pads, one of them basically a short pluck and they come together as the chorded bass filter opens.br

Would appreciate any comments on improvement. I know it goes on for a bit but found it hard to cram it all into a 5 minute piece. Toyed with the idea of fading out when the pads sweep in solo toward the end, looping them to a gradual fade but I felt it needed a beat for outro which could have saved 90 seconds or so.br
Great track. I thought it might be a bit long but in the end it didn’t feel that way.br

The perc in the outro seems a little loud to me relative to the other parts. I’d just drop it down a few db there.
Thanks a lot for the positive comments. I have listened to a few of your tracks and they are very much the kind of sound I like to use in my sets and hope to one day ‘evolve’ into, nice, deep progressions which I personally love.br

I’ll try to mess a bit more with the outro, as I said I wasn’t sure about how to go, I have messed a bit with the pad outro but I do prefer the drums as it is easier for mixing purposes but will try to have another look at the volume levels.
