i was wondering if ye could demonstrate this familiar sound in some of the more modern trance music… it can be heard in the link provided above in jorn van deynhoven’s remix of ramsterdam. if you listen between 4.50 - 4.55, jus before the kick in, there is a kinda chop up of the song. i would love if ye could help me out here as i think it provides great energy for when the tune kicks back in.
a similar example can be found in the track oliver P pres stonevally - winter

the chop can be found at 3.55 - 3.58
if ye can help me out here i would be ever so grateful
thankyou
has anybody got any insight at all into how these kinda chops are made???
Get a hold of the VST “dBlue Glitch”. That one should do the trick.
EDIT: It’s freeware, and you can get it here:

Effectrix will do this effect, use the x loop function & alter the envelope & time settings
thanks for the help lads, much appreciated… will i be using this over the master channel do you think?? really wish they could post up a video on how to do this properly.
Well i guess after you finish track, you could load the wav file back up into your sequencer & cut the bit out you want that effect on, load it on another channel, then add effectrix, that way all elements are then treated to that effect.
Hope this helps.
