Hi Guys, I was wondering if anyone could help me to recreate the synth sound from Battle for middle You by Julio Bashmore

The sound can be heard pretty much from the start of the track.
I have been playing around with Logic’s ES2 to try and re-create this sound but haven’t had much luck, got close a few times but then tweaked things the wrong way and couldn’t get back to the sound that was close.
I figured that there was just some pitch or cutoff freq modulation going on to create the sound but can’t figure out exactly what is going on and also not sure what combination of oscillators are used.
If anyone can point me in the right direction or tell me what sort of things to listen out for in a sound in order to deconstruct it that would be great.
hey mate I had a quick look at that sound while I waiting for something didnt take the time to get it exact but I think if you try a saw wave then turn the filter cutoff down, then assign a mod envelope to the cut off and move the attack up a bit, then turn your resonance up you should definitely be heading in the right direction just tweak things and play around with some different things until you get something you like.
Hopefully that might help you a little bit I used sylenth by the way
Cheers mate, thanks for the help.
I will give that a try when i get home tonight.
Ace, thanks Phil
