The drums and background are fantastic! Very organic sounding and seem to maintain interest.
The lead, however, is not quite in tune with the background, and also needs a bit more processing, such as filtering and perhaps some more dynamic motion. Right now it just sounds like a saw preset without much punch. Some time-based effects would help once you filter and EQ it a bit. Also, your melodic material is a bit haphazard. I might look into choosing a motive within your “improvisation” and focus on developing that small motive to do interesting things, like expanding its range by shifting register every once in a while, change it’s rhythm slightly, maybe invert itself (like flip the notes upside down in the MIDI clip). The trick is to choose something that catches your ear out of that entire little solo and develop that.
Other than that, your background and drums are superb! Definitely have to keep those, man. Good job so far! Keep it going!

Thanks for the workable tips. I’m really struggling with developing decent leads. I’ll try to add some structure to it. By the way, it is a MS-20 preset that I have changed a little. Maybe I should have left it alone…
Do you have an actual hardware MS-20? I’m about to fall over…
That is my DREAM machine…

The MS-20 has arguably the best filters and LFO capabilities of anything on the market, even today. Mess with the routings and see if you can get something interesting filtered through the LFO…
actually is the software version
Ah ok, either way, the instrument is sick…
hehe sounds like electronic cumbia. just awesome
Yes sir!
They are rare and in high demand. Hence the prices. If I get $2000 USD saved up, it’s the next thing I’m getting, JUST for the FILTERS…

I looked around to buy the hardware one on ebay, up to 1000€!!!
But I love the soft too.[/quote]
I settled for the monotron, a little bit more affordable
Honestly, If I hade that kind of money saved up, I’d get a Virus…
Btw, I have uploaded the new version of the track. Tried to give more structure and more punch to that lead. Let me know

Eheh, monotron, that’s more like my budget
