KICK 3 problem with triggering inside universal audio LUNA

Hi there,

I m using kick 3 with universal audio Luna. I ve got a side chain input that I can activate. usually with all other plugins it is working but with kick 3 when I enable the side chain in luna I have no signal that is coming in. I put on listen and active in kick 3…

Any thoughts ?

Hi there Laurent

I think you need to set your Audio track side-chain source to an Auxiliary Output first, and then select the Aux channel as the Audio input for your Instrument track with KICK 3.

Hi

thank you for your quick answer ! Now it works but i have a latency issue. Because the sound is going to a virtual track and coming back to the daw with using the monitor button on the kick drum track. It must be a way more simple with no latency issue. Normally i just have to choose the sidechain input (in utility) and activate the little button “sc” on the plugin and everything work

i choose the massernburg for an example you can see the sc just near the power button of the plugin

I believe it’s because this EQ is an effect plugin, so that’s why you can SC directly into the plugin, but KICK 3 is an instrument plugin, not sure at all you can directly SC into instruments with Luna.
