Hi, please let me know if this is the incorrect place to be posting this. First and foremost, I demoed kick 3 and was honestly left feeling excited more than anything. Ty to all those who worked on this project. Its rare a piece of kit comes along and stands to become a fundamental part of your workflow. I primarily work in pro tools and often use trigger plugins to swap out drum samples. The amount of control a tool like this stands to offer vs standard audio sample triggering is brilliant. Theres a few small things that stand to make an immense improvement as far as workflow goes for such tasks:
-aax support for mono channels (currently kick 3 can only be loaded on stereo channels. kick 2 does seem to support mono audio tracks so hopefully this is already in progress)
-aax external sidechain support / ability to choose between external & internal (audio on current instance’s channel) sidechain for trigger section
-ability to drag drop clips directly from the pro tools timeline for import / resynthesis
-vst3 / au support for audio channels - currently kick 3 au / vst3 can only be loaded on MIDI channels. smoothens out workflow for those working with audio stems looking to replace a drum sample directly on its channel (using kick 3 in place of something like ss trigger)
