Kontrol x1 insatallation?

Hey lads,ladies

What’s goin on?





Just a quick question.

I got my kontrol x1 in the post this Mornin,

Useual craic, followed all the instructions to begin with,


  1. I completed the install from the disc,
  2. My computer restarted (MacBook)
  3. The next step from what I can see would have been connect the x1 to the computer via USB…



    So I connect it up and what I can only describe as a quick roll of the lights from the bottom to the top… And that’s it.

    No more installation and no more lights coming on.



    So I opened traktor assuming the install process was compleat but I have no controls over anything and no lights are coming on if I press a button.





    So next I went into settings and add new controller and searched through to the native instruments folder and opened it, there are 2 folders inside, one for the maschine an one for a ni kontrol 1…I added the the kontrol 1 folder but when I did I saw this had settings for track volume, and other controls for the mixer ect so I knew this wasn’t was I’m looking for.









    Anyone got any ideas?

is there a tab inside traktor settings for the x1, there should be, if not you need traktor pro 1.2.4. Check your version.



if you have all this, uninstall everything and when you reinstall traktor it will have the drivers for the x1, you dont need the disc that comes with it.



I’m not a mac user so cant help more. sorry dude!

UPDATE TRAKTOR!!!

That’s typical me taking the arseways way around everything.
