Korg monotron

I have one. Its nice and the filter is absolutely amazing. There are some crazy circuit bending projects for it out there.

Yeah I might get one it’s so cheap for a pretty fat sound!

There’s a few hacks out there and can see there being a lot more. I like that sh/t :slight_smile:

I’ve also seen a sequencer hooked up to it. Cool stuff

Its on my shopping list but not that high up

I was given 1 for christmas and i love it, i called past a m8’s house on christmas day and he got 1 as well :D, we linked them up and the nasty fatness of them both is unreal, big kudos to korg for trying to put analogue synthesis into the hands of everyone, i recommend getting a stylus to use with it, my daughters DS stylus works great…

If you haven’t seen this Monotron vid yet check it out…

Zombie Nation summer jam on Korg Monotron - YouTube

SRY hyper link not workin for me :slight_smile:

Hmm just found this - reckon i’m going too get one soon

[hr]

My only concern having not heard it live is that it’s just gonna sound like a toy, but this is a proper analogue synth isn’t it?

Reminds me of the tb303 in many ways. Cheap and fat sounding :slight_smile:

If your not shy with a soldering iron you could have loads of fun with this

It def doesn’t sound like a toy, when you start to layer recorded parts it’s massive :smiley:

I highly recommend it :slight_smile:

What do you wish for in 2011?

* Peace on Earth 50%

* A Korg monotron 50%

A Tony hasn’t changed. I used to work with him years ago on CU Amiga.

Even cheaper if you can solder

That looks very interesting, going by my xoxbox experience I would like to buy a prebuilt one !

am I the only person who thinks this sounds like total sh!te?

Not to us tech heads Wayne :smiley:

it thought it sounds cool but yeah for your stuff wayne probably not

last thing i need right now is ANOTHER project

i have a few pieces of equipment that i bought and rarely used. This would probably would be one of them , probably just play with it for the fun :slight_smile: seems so interesting :alien:

I’m off to Guitar Center…

Btw I got the monotron in the end “fat little beast”

It really shouldn’t sound the way it does being as it is so cheap

Sonic State Looks at the Korg Monotribe - but for 280 euros maybe a little steep

That looks cool… He got some pretty interesting stuff out if it quickly, didnt he?

I saw the teaser ads for it & expected a full size-ish synth… Great way of getting 60quid out of ya… then 280… then 500… then XXXXX :)

Cool
