Before I watched these two videos, I would have sworn that I was both awake and sober. Now I have no clue if I’m either.

Yes, it was quite a shock the first time for me too, but listening more closely to the production I realized how creative and genius it is.

It sounds to me like they used a rompler or a workstation and layered and layered and layered. There are so many sampled percussion sounds in here. Also layers.

I’d like a tutorial in this style as well, or the electropop style made by Yasutaka Nakata (The producer for said artist). br

I read somewhere he uses NI Battery, so that might be where the multitude of percussion comes from

Not that kind of percussion. I’m talking about the assorted keyboard instruments, idiophones, metallophones, and the various rarely used percussion instruments. NI Battery is just drums.

Ya, what I find impressive is that, although it´s supposed to sound crazy and chaotic, the soundscape is still so great. It´s not sludgy, it´s more like there´s always something new to discover each time you listen to it.
