Latency issues

Im running Cubase 5 on a Mac Book Pro with a Lexicon Lambda interface,

At present my project has 1 instance of Groove agent running with 11 outputs activated routed to 11 midi tracks then grouped for my drums, 2 instances of Stylus RMX and 1 instance of Halion One with 5 compressors & 1 reverb FX bus.

This is just my drums, bass & 1 synth line and the crackle is unbearable.:w00t:

My input latency is sitting at 25.488 ms & output at 25.238 ms, i have my buffer size maxed out at 2048 samples.

The lambda uses mac core audio so theres no driver software for it.

I cant proceed with this track until this is sorted and i’m lost at what to do, can anyone shed some light on this for me ???

Cheers…

I can always upgrade if that turns out to be the problem but i’ve run bigger projects than this and its always run smooth

Cheers for the reply m8

it could be a plugin problem. try disabling plugins one at a time to see if that helps

in particular the stylus rmx and your Reverb

It is a plug in problem Bryan, i thought i had it sorted around 4:30am:w00t: so i started adding Cubase’s Tonic Filter to multiple tracks and it started again.

I’ve had around 12 instances of RMX all running at once just last week and not a peep but when i add a few Filters it go’s wild.

What if i bounce all tracks to audio for mixing and not add plugs wile tracking would this be a temporary workaround ?

Do ya reckon upgrading my machine would sort this m8 ?

Again Bryan, thanks for the reply.
