I like the two distinct sections that you have in this, together with the contrasting moods they have. You are also using some nice transitions to make the track as a whole flow more naturally. With more work this will be a real ‘punchy’ track.

If you can bring the bottom and top ends out a little more this will lift the entire feeling of the mix. At the moment the kick, for example, sounds a very flat. You can do this by looking at each of your individual elements through a spectrum analyser (or even better use your ears!) and deciding which frequency band they fit into. Then you can sculpt the individual components so they are not fighting each other for space in your mix. Likewise, use the stereo field more - send parts of your drum kit to the left and right monitors to again give more room.

I think finally some (carefully judged) saturation to the parts you want to really stand out will again add more warmth to those parts, creating a sense of space and depth.

Hope this helps! Thanks for sharing - really enjoyed it!

Enjoyed that though I did feel the dubstep section felt out of place…

Has a real cinematic feel to it at the beggining and end which I really enjoyed!

haha i agree, the dubstep part is a bit random. My friend asked me to make a “dubstep” remix of this song so i did. I’m glad you both enjoyed it. Its not my finest work or anything though it was a lot of fun to make. Ps. Hope you like the lead part during the dubstep breakdown. Im gonna mix it more with the tips that were givin here so thank you for that. anyways this is just a tester. I really like the feedback and i have other styles of music. So its not just dubstep i have a progressive house track that im really happy about that i should be posting soon. we’ll see i need to start looking into copy writing too so any advice on that i would be happy to hear. My dubstep sections are a bit on the week side i’ll admit but i suppose the’ll start to get better. the seem to be getting better quality over time which is a plus. anyways… ill stop there lol

thanks guys
