can we have a thread that links to great videos teaching about .Massive. .Absynth5. Then more I learn how to master these Synths the better ! This site uses Sylenth like its going out of style ! I like Sylenth but .Massive. is āhella betterā !
OR could we see a user created part of the site that is like Youtube but with teaching videos made by the community !
Wouldnt Tips & Tricks be the place to go then? Quite a few good tuts/info from other members thereā¦
Also for Massive:

This is a good place to start IMO, its also my favourite synth. Would love to learn to do more with it though since all my sounds are starting to sound the sameā¦
Maybe I should vary the synths more All I ever use is Massive and when I see a Sylenth tut on youtube I just apply the info into Massive

your right but it would make things easier if I was linked some of the best TUTS on Youtube . Massive videos about āMassiveā on Youtube but always poor teachings . I want to understand why instead of just copy past what the user is doing .
Plus Absynth = make my own pads !! I want to leave any type of rompler behind ! Even making my owns kicks is a must now ! more control over the sounds = a better mix ! Well for me anyways .
tbh mate, you shouldnt really be looking atĀ synth specific tutorials. Instead try and learn SYNTHESIS. Once you know everything about synthesis it shouldnt matter what synth you use and all you really usually have to do is read the manual about the features unique to the particular synth that you are usingā¦

Oh I know learning about synthesis is the key but I like video TUTS when learning about new programs . lazy I guess who knows .
Yeah man but thats not going to get you anywhere, wouldnt you just like to have the feeling that no matter what synth is put in front of you, you will be able to key in some killer timbres? Also you dont understand how much fun synthesis can be when you know what your doing and you end up just listening to different synths oscilators and really listening for how warm or rough they can be.
Also the biggest thing with synthesis is experimenting yourself, its no good just preset hopping or watching how someone tells you to program your synth. You will never get anything unique or something that has your, own personal style and touch on it.

yeah I watched the synthesis videos on here but it did not stick 100% yet but ill watch it again . Trust me I know the power of synths this is why I moved on from romplers ! Nexus sounds good but i want to make my own sounds .
I understand OSC and envelops but still need to learn the program itself . messing around right now making kicks and watching a video āhow to make highats with massiveā
The only way you are going to get any tutorial you watch on synthesis to stick is to practiceā¦

funny you should mention thatā¦
i like to reverse engineer presets in my favorite synths to see how the preset got there.
teaches you a ton.
janās right though. gotta learn synthesis. its essential.
Tbh its impossible to get a sound exactly like you heard it on a track because you would need the exact same synth/s and processing mixing etc etc
It is a lot of fun trying to reverse engineer tracks and get a basis down for what said artist must have done. The thing is why would anyone want a sound exactly like someone else has? You wanna be unique⦠Also experimenting with synths is how you might make a completely new sound thats unique to you⦠People dont want a poor impersonator of someone they already know and have heard before, everyone wants to hear something new and fresh.
