Liquid D'nB' - Links pls!

Hello all!!

Hit me up here with your fave Liquid D’n’B tunes, with a bit of a blurb about what’s so good about them and what elements may be evading you.

Thanks Graham

Well I hope more people post to this thread or the tutorial might not happen!

Here’s one of the first Liquid D&B tunes I ever got. Just how does he make that smooth bass sound that seems to make the song float along? Also how does someone go about making a fox jump like at 3:20?

This could be a long list

Stray getting on the remix with a BMT classic

Lovely chords/pads/piano mixing so fine with the growling bass and super sharp drum hits.

Bop doing his usual smooth minimal chord-y, bleep-y stuff. He works his synths so well. Love the lo-fi vibe

It's really hard to mix vocals well in DnB and this is one of the top tracks that does it so well. Top track from Chase & Status' (or as like to call them - Jason Statham) last album :D

Got to have a little Boris in this list. Lovely mixing of different synth patches. Is it Liquid D&B? Dunno. Cracking track though.

Great co-production between two legends - Underworld & High Contrast. Wonderfully uplifting chords/pads.

Camo & Krooked doing some lovely work

If you look at Hospital Records artist list you'll find loads of tracks of this quality.

I haven't listened to the new album yet but his preview is def in the right direction

My favorite liquid tunes are those that use old school breakbeats rather than one shot beats. Danny Byrd’s Amen Alley is a good example.

I struggle editing and mixing these kind of beats, so I’d love to see that in the new tutorial. Thanks.

Who said anything about a new tutorial? Maybe I just wanna hear your fave DnB tunes!

Sarcasm is lost on some folks. :stuck_out_tongue:

even with an emoticon

There better had be a tutorial, Graham, you cock tease!

C’mon guy’s, give the man some links and say what you want! Lots of people have been complaining about the lack of dnb on here, so give Graham something to work with!

How do you embed a Youtube video in here?

Anyhow, one tune I heard recently that’s simply jaw dropping:

Getting the percussion just right seems like a difficult task as well. Show us how it’s done Graham!

i am so glad you want to do this!!

here are 3 tunes with interesting basslines:

If you guys could make this happen, that would be like a dream coming true!! I’ve bene busy producing netsky-like dnb but i just can’t completely finish a track. I hope this tutorial will happen because if it does it’s gonna help me SO much

MRSA - Chemicals

It’s not exactly liquid, but it has many different elements that would make for an awesome liquid track (e.g. the vocal glitching, the mid-bass, the iconic hi-hat shuffle, the pads, etc.)

just putting this back on top so people are attracted again
