i have just purchased dcam synth squad i have unzipped it and installed the software i have put the .dll files into my c/programfiles/vstlugins folder i have changed the preferences inside ableton to browse this folder and nothing is showing up at all?? its like there not even there??
also it has created a fxpansion folder in my c/program files folder with all the preset s etc…do these have to be put anywhere special for ableton to find the p[resets or should i just leave them in the folder i downloaded and installed to??/
im running ableton 8.2.7 and this is synth squad v1 1 0 2 1 which i believe is the latest!
wehn i downloaded the program and extracted it to itself i ended uup with this so i used the .exe installer and installed them all to c:program files/vstlugins…
which ended up like this
i then went into ableton set my search path up in preferences to c:programfiles/vstlugins and bamm NOTHING!!
ANY IDEAS GUYS??
and also its installed its own fxpansion folder in c:programfiles! which i think is where all the presets etc…are if so does this folder also need to be in the vstplugins folder or does synth squad vsts automatically know where the presets and sounds are??
Usually these problems are to do with installing the VST files in a slightly different folder to the one named in Ableton. I would check really carefully that you haven’t done this. Then unistall and reinstall very carefully.
If you are sure that isn’t the problem you need to go to Fxpansion support.
