Live 8

I will be trying Live 8 this week but looks confusing . I used Cubase for sometime but after trying to complete “French house” tutorial I realized how much of a pain it was to automate in Cubase - ( nothing against the maker of the track but not my style of music ) Is live 8 truly known for fast workflow ?

Since peek time trance is Live 8 only I have no choice but to leave Cubase . IF live 8 is good as most say it is , then I will hold off on buying Cubase 6 and get Live 8 .

On a side note will we be seeing Uplifting trance tutorials ? I would make uplifting trance all day long or progressive trance since thats all I like to make or play .

Looks like massive videos for Live 8 but need to learn the program first hope this be a fast learning curve . I want to write trance NOW!

Also Wanted to add one more topic to this thread .

Why is it that Romplers seem harder to mix with . Vs using a synth that seems Warmer and less aggressive . With a Rompler I cant control the damn sound . Any reason behind this ? Or is it just a mixing problem .

I am blown away !! Live 8 is amazing and the learning curve is simple . Tweaking sounds and sound Quality is perfect ! SOLD … :w00t:

lol

What Video will show me how to automate in Live using Vst ? I would love to know how to automate like Cubase simply by pressing R/W and using my mouse pad to move the knobs around then edit it .

mate just arm the track to record and as it plays move the controls you want to automate

then stop it playinn and you can draw the automation in arrangement view

ok thanks I will try that now .

+1

rewire ableton into cubase for the win mate

I’m still annoyed by the warping being changed. I don’t use live that much anymore but when I do I use version 6 hehe.

I don’t understand why my mixes are better using Live ? I thought all DAWS are the same or is there some kind of sound engine in each program kinda like a video game that has a graphics engine like UT or DICE . ?

I have no problems with Live in fact i was able to thrown down a track in 1 hour Vs cubase that took me 4 hours .
