I still don’t have a pair of monitors, so I was expecting some remarks on mastering.



I think at times drums levels are off and the bass is overshadowed by other elements. Since you have monitors what do you think?:slight_smile:

Yeah, I think it is the mix rather than the mastering that would benefit from having monitors.

Your instinct is right, the bass is very quiet in the mix, in fact all of the low frequencies are so I guess whatever you are mixing on exaggerates the bass quite a lot. Do you have some headphones you could test the mix on? Or try it on another system.

As it is I really like it, but with a good mix down this will sound really excellent.

yeah, I meant to say mixing.



I’ll try to boost the bass a touch. I think I have suppressed to many frequencies around 400Hz for the bass.
